today, a short speech

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

I'm due to give a short speech at our office's Grand Opening. I'm looking forward to it, the press will apparently be there, and the city's Deputy Mayor.

Three reasons to be thankful:

1. My suit still fits! I credit some recent dieting with losing a belt notch just in time.
2. I can take my DR test out for drinks tonight after our recent successful annual test.
3. The speech is so short as to be comical. 50+ hours on the road for a ninety-second thing.
