Today I managed to renew my driver's license on my own. Something I'm not sure I could have done a year ago due to the language barrier. As it was I even waded through two hours of "instruction" on my way. I was in that building for more than three hours, all told. But it's done!
One thing that caught my imagination. By Japanese law, bicycles are considered light vehicles. My mind wandered to "light vehicles". Wouldn't that be nice...
