movie review - Troll

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Kokubunji, 2023.02.03

This is a film about a real Troll waking up and terrorizing Scandinavia. It features the troll expert no one believes, his daughter who's called in to advise the government's response team in their moment of crisis, and of course a giant CGI troll.

There was a little too much uneven dialog in this one, and a plot that felt like it was 2/3 filler.

rand()m quote

Immature poets imitate mature poets steal bad poets deface what they take and good poets make it into something better or at least something different. The good poet welds his theft into a whole of feeling which is unique utterly different than that from which it is torn the bad poet throws it into something which has no cohesion. A good poet will usually borrow from authors remote in time or alien in language or diverse in interest.
