Today Mari and I went to an unassuming grocery store that I'm sure we've passed on many occasions without entering. It turns out that they have quite a bit of overseas stuff, ranging from ingredients for kimchi to almonds that have been stuffed into dates and then dipped in chocolate. Mmm, almonds that have been stuffed into dates and then dipped in chocolate.

Three good things that happened today:

  1. Almonds that have been stuffed into dates and then dipped in chocolate.
  2. Spicy plantain chips
  3. The shiracha we were looking for
Over the past week and a half, I've been having trouble with my hitherto-trusty Majestouch keyboard from Filco. It sporadically sends the wrong character when typing, which makes it impossible to do things like sign into a computer. So I went to Akihabara and shopped for a new keyboard. I regretfully discovered that keyboard shopping has become quite a lot more expensive in Japan. It seems that the low-end simply doesn't exist in English keyboards anymore. Killed by the pandemic, perhaps. I wound up with a gaming keyboard with full LED adornments. Gamers have taken over the PC business. I guess it was inevitable. Despite the LED's it was the keyboard in the store with which I managed the best speed & accuracy (without paying more than ¥8,000).

Three reasons to be thankful:

  1. I can get rolling again at work on Monday with a functioning keyboard.
  2. I don't have to shop for keyboards more than about every seven quarters.
  3. I don't have to talk about this any more
