It's so, so nice to ride a bike where the chain isn't making noise and skipping all over the place. I rode the old beast into the train station and embarked on what turned out to be a hugely delayed commute* and it shifted nicely and rode smoothly. Hooray!
*It turned out that a lengthy delay on the Yamamote loop line caused by two gaijin couples running around on the tracks. They were allegedly drunk.
