beaver patrol
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
Mari and I went for a walk tonight, from mum's place on Linwell out to the beach at Port Dalhousie, then back over the pedestrian bridge at Royal Henley Park (odd name, I thought). It was a lovely evening, with perfect temperatures and lovely skies particularly after sunset. I'm very glad I brought my new (used) camera.
As we crossed that long pedestrian bridge we spotted something swimming in the water. "Beaver or muskrat?" I mused, and we watched until it left the water and was clearly a beaver. I pointed it out to a family of four that were right behind us.
