movie review - How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

This is the third in the "How to Train Your Dragon" series of animated movies. It features a love interest for the titular Dragon but also a fellow who likes to enslave Dragons. In order to fight this guy they reckon they need the help of the "hidden world" where all Dragons come from. Do they do this? Yes, but that's in the trailers. Do they get the girl, kill the baddy, and save the entire planet? Well, if you stomach two more hours of this stuff in order to please your child, I guess you'll find out.

There's nothing new here except maybe the elevated saccharine and sentimentality. That said, it's beautifully drawn and doesn't go out of its way to be stupid.

Recommended. But I hope they stop at three. But why would they.
