a dinner with my wife

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Kokubunji, 2022.10.01

Mari and I found a Thai restaurant in Tachikawa and went for dinner without the kids for the first time in so long I don't honestly remember. It was nice. The weather was perfect for the twenty-minute cycle trip and the meal was good. We had seafood because the kids usually interfere with that. Mmm, Thai seafood.

This was a deliberate attempt at turning around what has otherwise been 2.5 years of constant effort without much of a break.

rand()m quote

A civilization is a heritage of beliefs, customs, and knowledge slowly accumulated in the course of centuries, elements difficult at times to justify by logic, but justifying themselves as paths when they lead somewhere, since they open up for man his inner distance.

—Antoine de Saint-Exupery
