This is a Fantasy story about the seventh son of a seventh son - a supposed marker of great ability as a wizard. A very old wizard shows up to recruit our hero following the escape from prison of a great evil. What follows is a sometimes uneven tale that follows our man's exploits in a world seemingly populated with desperate creatures that can transform into something awful and/or are one of your parents.
I enjoyed for the energy and action and insane world building on-the-back-of-an-envelope.
