movie review - Pets United

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Kokubunji, 2021.09.05

Once in a while my daughter and I try to watch something for "Movie Night" that turns out to be unwatchable. So it was for "Pets United", a ham-fisted and unevenly-animated mess that we simply couldn't get through. The story feels strung together by a committee and a number of unrelated stuff happens that feels like filler. We simply couldn't become engaged with the story enough to care, and when something came up and we had to pause it, we didn't go back.

Not recommended. Avoid.

In one of history's more absurd acts of totalitarianism, China has banned Buddhist monks in Tibet from reincarnation without government permission.
