our new lawnmower

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Kokubunji, 2021.04.10

For the first time in 30+ years, I'll be mowing the lawn this weekend. Our experiment with grass seed and fertilizers has paid off, but now we have a ragged lawn with uneven colors and lengths.

Obviously we don't want what a big lawn mower for a tiny ~20 square meter patch of grass. So we went to our local hardware+ store and looked at options. Behold, the Tokyo lawnmower.

rand()m quote

A civilization is a heritage of beliefs, customs, and knowledge slowly accumulated in the course of centuries, elements difficult at times to justify by logic, but justifying themselves as paths when they lead somewhere, since they open up for man his inner distance.
