Mari spoke to the landlord about a nest of paper wasps that she'd spotted hanging from our bedroom balcony. The exterminator said it was the largest he'd seen this year, but nowhere near the largest they'd dealt with this year from all pest species. That honor went to a beach-ball-sized mess of Japanese hornets.
