movie review - The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

This is the tale of a young man who learns how to set up a wind-driven pump to bring up ground-water and save his family's farm in a time of drought and conflict in rural Malawi. It's a very engaging story of a family's struggles in poverty. It doesn't pull any punches in its depiction of one opportunity after another slipping through their fingers as the odds are overwhelming. Very well cast and very well directed, it's an education in an engrossing story.
Strongly recommended.
