Last night I reached out to a number of the headhunters that I'd spoken to during my time in Tokyo over the new year's, mentioning that I was still "working with" NN Life for this gig. One of them got back to me fairly promptly to say that he has a couple of people in the works of being hired there as well, and that it's taking forever for them, too.
Then the headhunter with whom I'm working on the role also got back to me with the news that he'd heard from the CIO that my offer letter has been drafted. It's finally coming together.
