Two good things today.
First, I had a follow-up meeting with the life insurance firm that's the successor to my old firm. I met a young Dutchman today with whom I had a frank conversation about the state of the place and the challenges before his team - which ostensibly I would be joining. It went well enough that he wants me to talk to his dotted-line boss in the Netherlands. Hooray! I'm glad I bought that ironing board.
Tonight I met with Nate and Yagu and Kieran at an izakaya in an alley in Gaien-mae. We had, in my estimation, a great time.
