Watching what's happening in the UK these days certainly gives me pause. Time to take stock.

Three reasons to be thankful:

1. My parliament isn't trying to ruin the economy and start sectarian warfare
2. I have no reason to despise several members of the current government
3. My government does not give the impression that it's working for Putin
