wind and lots of it

twenty-eight years and a million words

Port Severn, 2019.08.29

Well the improved fishing was short-lived. I did manage to catch two more pike at the dam on "Little Lake" last night, but the best bit about that jaunt was the news from someone camping next to the lock that I should try a spot where the locals go beneath the dam. We'll try that tonight.

In the meantime, we went to a provincial park on Six Mile Lake and rented a canoe. The wind was strong and the canoe was of ultralight kevlar construction, so we were blown all over the place. But I caught another couple of pike and my first muskie. The Girl and The Boy caught some panfish. But they seemed to have more fun with catching frogs at the cottage when we got back.

When the world is in accord with the Dao, fast horses are left to fertilize fields. When the world is not in accord with the Dao, war horses are bred in the countryside.
