freezing rain at the end of April

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2019.04.30

I rode home in freezing rain last night–I'd like to say I'm surprised but I'm not. It's just been that kind of "Spring".

Three reasons to be thankful:

  1. By the world's standards today, a little freezing ain't much in terms of local excitement.
  2. A tailwind in the morning and a tailwind at night, once in a while I do win one.
  3. Things at my day are getting more interesting all the time, and things in my volunteer organization have never been better.

Three good things that happened today:

  1. Canada's new $10 bill won an award.
  2. Our friend from Japan is coming over for dinner.
  3. The Boy got a major school assignment done.

The problem is not people being uneducated. The problem is that people are educated just enough to believe what they have been taught, and not educated enough to question anything from what they have been taught.
