hello, Ghibli museum

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Tokyo, 2018.07.02

Today we took the kids to the Ghibli museum, jetlag or no. The highlight for me was seeing the original artwork lying about (within easy reach but still whole!). There was also a set recreation of the kitchen and bath from "My Neighbor Totoro". Fantastic! It was blazing hot but it was a thrill just to re-acquainted with the city.

Also, how nice to not be sprouting an abscess on my skin as I was last time I was at that museum. I still bear the scar from that occasion and today's visit was simple fun.

P.S. It looks lie the AirBNB place where we're staying does not have the advertised Internet connectivity, which means no television. Good thing we brought the iPad, two computers, and the ancient DS.
