movie review - Superbad

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2018.08.12

Two high school nerds attempt to throw a party. This involves such unprecedented activities as buying alcohol and talking to girls. Their evening becomes quite a mess, but it's done in a way that feels authentic despite the extent of the craziness. Very strong performances from the leading and supporting cast keep it watchable despite covering some well-worn ground.
