fishing on father's day

The Boy invited me to go fishing today at Tommy Thompson park - where at least the mink catch fish. The TRCA has done a good job of turning the place into a wilderness - at cell C (which our canoe scouting trip last weekend said had fish) it's hard to get to the shore because the shore is so overgrown. You'd need a boat to fish there "properly" but it's only open to small boats right now because of the high water forcing them to keep the normally-floating bridge open.
Three good things that happened today:
- Invited to do something together by my son.
- Watched the mink catch shiners only a few meters from us.
- The Boy found what appears to be a partial fossil of a fish.
