riding in Toronto's second winter
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
Toronto, 2017.03.02
My ride to work started with a flat that I deemed a slow leak; I pumped it up and took off into 40kph winds at -9. Then I struggled with the headwinds all the way in, only to find that my lock had frozen shut. So now my bike's in a small space in the building's lobby, and my front wheel's in my office.
But sensation has returned to my fingers!
All this because I've got a Cycle Toronto event at Kingston & Vic Park tonight. I've saved myself $13 in fares, that's enough for dinner.
