goodbye, bank

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2017.02.11

A certain credit card issuer decided they would issue me a new card, then didn`t, but froze my existing card. So I called the up, had them unfreeze it, and told them they`d just lost a client. As of 2017, my tolerance is zero for service providers who can`t do the one thing I need. Especially commodity services like a credit card.

Banks; consider yourself served!

rand()m quote

In the wake of 9/11, we [in America] have made the decision as a society that we can never again create something in which we can take pride, for fear that someone will destroy it. Moreover, we must suppress any trace of individualism, lest someone have the desire to rise above the bland sameness that protects us. I have, alas, no idea how to recapture our courage.
