riding in the snow for my son

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2017.01.27

To get anywhere in downtown Toronto, there is no substitute for a bike. Today, I rode my bike to work despite a forecast of snow and strong (60kph!) winds, so that I'd stand a fighting chance of getting home in time to help my wife with the six kids that were going to be on hand. Happily, all that wind was behind me as I rode home, so I fairly flew.

rand()m quote

A civilization is a heritage of beliefs, customs, and knowledge slowly accumulated in the course of centuries, elements difficult at times to justify by logic, but justifying themselves as paths when they lead somewhere, since they open up for man his inner distance.
