hackintosh no more

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2017.12.29

So my hackintosh has proven unstable - so much so I broke down and bought a Windows 10 license. It may have taken Microsoft ten years, but they've finally got this OS right, in that it now has the Bash shell. All of my workflow scripts are intact, direct imports from my defunct Mac mini, with only the slashes exchanged for backslashes in addressing files.

Also, this thing is damn fast. The benefits of upgrading a system after 8 1/2 years. Wow.

rand()m quote

Selfish leaders increase risk by placing themselves first. It's a fundamental mistake to assume that what is good for us personally is mutually exclusive to what is good for everyone. That kind of zero-sum game is for cowards, and in the end, we all pay the price for this type of latent, toxic leadership.
