lightning without clouds or rain

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2017.08.01

July went out with a bang - thunder, that is - under sunny skies without rain. It was hard to see the lightning against the glare of the sun, but it must have been there.

August is being a bit more traditional - tonnes of rain with today's thunderstorm. Happily, I was still at work rather than on the way home. Mari had a flat when we went to Tommy Thompson on the weekend, and I've been riding around without a spare for the past two days.

I'm particularly averse to a good soaking right now, as I have my fourth sinus infection of the year. Fourth! In August!

By all means, marry. If you get a good wife, you'll become happy; if you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
