Toronto city council has turned a corner, voting to install a cycle lane on the city's main, long, crowded, east-west shopping street. Perhaps in recognition that it was already half-choked with bikes? Or that every study conducted on the impact of cycle lanes on stores shows a dramatic positive correlation?
City council also brought an end to Uber's woes. It's not clear to me what the blend of liberalizing taxis requirements and normalizing Uber's presence will mean, but it's been a day of action on the transportation front in Toronto.
