Today, I climbed the steps of the CN tower with our eight year old son. It took us 23:41, a feat that shaved about 9-10 minutes off my previous personal best. I attribute the record time to the fact that The Boy was setting the pace. He seemed tireless, constantly passing other climbers and pressing upward without pausing or even seeming to need to breath. Needless to say, his 45-year-old father was a different story.
We climbed as part of a team of fundraisers assembled by our "corporate social responsibility" committee at work. Twelve climbers raised nearly $3,000.
