Tonight while fishing (fruitlessly) at the Ashbridge's Bay marina, a large beaver paddled right by in front of me. I'd seen the chewed-up trees, and knew there was around, but honestly: how many urban areas with six million people have a growing beaver population!
No fishing tomorrow; looks like I've been skunked the entire winter pike open season.
