movie review - The Other Guys

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Toronto, 2015.07.08

This is a buddy-cop movie in which two jerks in the precinct take up an important case following the deaths of the actual stars. The problems with this movie are many, ranging from the incredibly stupid way that the stars die to the implausibility of a former pimp becoming a detective. There was one thing I picked up on, eventually: I suspect the lack of chemistry between the two jerk-heroes in this might have been because of some off-screen issue: clashing egos or perhaps dissatisfaction with the script or direction.

Not recommended. I'm not sure why I eventually watched this.

A lot of people lose the spirit of childhood. Every child has a lot of imagination and you lose it little by little. I don't know why, but I kept it.
