repairing a rear wheel

Tonight in our cycle repair class we dismantled the rear wheel; really getting comfortable with this, now. One of the things I found odd was that the rear wheel uses larger – and fewer – ball bearings than the front wheel. Apparently there are two more sizes in the pedals and head tube. I guess it's different bearings for different folks.
Overall, well pleased with the cycle repair course that the Toronto District School Board puts on.
