a fine mist, backlit by the dawn
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
Toronto, 2015.05.13
I saw a fine mist falling, back-lit by the dawn and adrift on a gentle breeze. It's not too often that you see something so nice, weather-wise. In Toronto.
Three good things that happened today:
- I called Mari, and she was able to show the kids the sight
- The 7°C weather was perfect for cycling to work
- ...and kept a lot of the fair-weather cyclists out of my commute
Three reasons to be thankful:
- I look back at how the last few years have gone and I am glad. I don't know what's next but these have been goodish years.
- The kids are blossoming. My wife's a great mother.
- My job is interesting and challenging. It's not often I've been able to say that.
