Yesterday, I installed my first shifter cable on my bicycle; it went smoothly but I'm still having phantom shifts. Having just replaced the cassette and chain, it can't be that. I suppose I've got to also replaced the cable housing as well.
Once you learn the symptoms of a healthy bike (and a not so healthy bike) you become aware of the true kinds – and costs – of bicycle repair!
