twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2014.12.07

Both kids had a fever this weekend; if you haven't dealt with a delirious six year old, you haven't lived! Whiny-chan was particularly whiny, too, as I'm sure I was at 2 1/2 with a 39C fever.

Three good things that happened today:

  1. I am hard-pressed to say.
  2. Well, the boy cast his first spell in D&D when we got around to playing. It was "Magic stone"
  3. I got to support the local coffee shop by buying some beans. Yup, really scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

rand()m quote

In the wake of 9/11, we [in America] have made the decision as a society that we can never again create something in which we can take pride, for fear that someone will destroy it. Moreover, we must suppress any trace of individualism, lest someone have the desire to rise above the bland sameness that protects us. I have, alas, no idea how to recapture our courage.
