yup, it's allergy season

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Toronto, 2014.05.07

After days of symptoms it's clear - the temperature has hit the double digits (at last) and now it's allergy season. First, it was mosquitoes, now it's a persistent headache, the post-nasal drip, the lethargy and stiffness, and a healthy(?) dose of fuzzy-headedness.

I don't know what's worse, these symptoms or the possibility of developing arthritis by regularly consuming anti-allergy pills. I think I'll stick with the sniffles and sluggishness.

rand()m quote

In the wake of 9/11, we [in America] have made the decision as a society that we can never again create something in which we can take pride, for fear that someone will destroy it. Moreover, we must suppress any trace of individualism, lest someone have the desire to rise above the bland sameness that protects us. I have, alas, no idea how to recapture our courage.
