what bike next

So my beloved, but somewhat underweight KHS bike is gone.
Time to find something that's a) stronger, b) larger, and c) hopefully a bit better-suited to my need for a heads-up ride. Ideally, something with a shorter wheel base. Hmm, 26" wheels, perhaps? I wonder if I can find one of these.
