I've heard back from my supervisor. Some good news, but the whole will be substantially more complicated than I imagined. She's instructed that I'll have to find some other service providers beyond the one I work for, and devise some good research questions on my topic. I can certainly see how that would improve things.
Now where to find some service organizations who'll play ball...
