writing a dissertation proposal

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2013.10.22

I'm writing my first-ever dissertation proposal at the moment. It's an interesting challenge. I'm thinking of making a study into whether what I've done at work is something that can be repeated and made useful across broader industry as a whole. Yes, I'm going to attempt to blend audit, marketing, and strategy into a single paper.

One fun tip I found: "Make figures that other will want to steal. They will cite your paper because they want to use your figure in their paper."

rand()m quote

The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to such a pass that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love, and in order to occupy and distract himself without love he gives way to passions and coarse pleasures, and sinks to bestiality in his vices, all from continual lying to other men and to himself.
