more plecostomus

The recent heat wave killed the dwarf plecostomus in my larger aquarium 2-3 weeks ago. Today Ken and I cycled up into the wilds of the Scarborough plateau and bought two more: one for each aquarium.
I have lost a few of the interesting little algae eaters in the smaller aquarium despite the presence of driftwood, but this time I have a plan. Yesterday we moved Gill, the antique angelfish from the smaller aquarium to the larger one, and added three tiny new cherry barbs to the tank - its only inhabitants. With such small fish the only competition, I plan on adding spirulina for the pleco at night and flake food in the morning for the barbs. That. Better. Do it. I hate killing fish.
