muddy cycling again

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2013.04.16

Cycling in cold, wet weather tends to keep the fairweather cyclists out of the way, but you sure get muddy. I've had a bit of discomfort in my back for several months (not enough to shift me enough to go see my doctor, for some reason) so I've lowered the seat on the bike a touch; I'm hoping that in addition to easing my back it would prompt me to ride a bit "more mellow", less in a rush, and possibly less .. abbrassively to the !@#$%^& lunatics with whom I share the road.

I think I might have to see about repairing the brakes on my bike, too.

rand()m quote

Selfish leaders increase risk by placing themselves first. It's a fundamental mistake to assume that what is good for us personally is mutually exclusive to what is good for everyone. That kind of zero-sum game is for cowards, and in the end, we all pay the price for this type of latent, toxic leadership.
