goodbye Monarch butterflies

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Toronto, 2013.09.25

On a recent trip with Opa, Ken was enthusiastic about seeing some Monarch butterfly caterpillars crawling on some milkweed plants. He knew about Monarchs because we'd seen the movie showing at the science center.

Good thing he got familiar with them when he did, cos it looks like they're dying out. Eh, who needs all these insects.
