long walk in the neighbourhood

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Toronto, 2012.10.21

We went for a long walk in the neighbourhood today. The weather was superb, and we'd been cooped up by lousy weather (and the general level of sickness among us) yesterday so I dreamed up the idea of looking about online to see what might be happening in our neighbourhood. I found the "Easternblock party", celebrating the cessation of construction on Queen street east, and something called "Soupstock". We also bought some excellent, nay stellar, fish at a market in a park. Yellow perch, if memory serves.

Hooray!

A creative person would prefer their music to be stolen and enjoyed than ignored. This is the dilemma for every creative soul: he or she would prefer to starve and be heard than to eat well and be ignored.
