another year, another spill on my bike

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2012.10.17

As I did on September 2 last year, I had a spill today while crossing wet streetcar tracks.

"Happily", I was wearing a suede coat that absorbed a lot of the blow and scraping and whatnot. As did the hoodie I was wearing beneath it, and the thick track pants. And the two layers of gloves. Hooray for cold weather wear.

Only my ankle got scraped up. Boo for cold wet weather.

Capitalist production, therefore, only develops the techniques and the degree of combination of the social process of production by simultaneously undermining the original sources of all wealth – the soil and the worker.
