Everywhere I look I see people "upgrading their skills". IT folk, of course, basically have no choice but to find something else to do with their careers once they've passed the 10-15 year mark and are no longer required. But I've spoken with teachers, therapists, business analysts, even a chef. Everyone seems to recognize that they need to take on more risk and expense just to keep going.
