new lens

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2012.06.09

Despite unhappy past experiences, I bought a used 35mm lens for my old Minolta gear on ebay - it's arrived and it's a winner.

I've been shooting with a lens that I once dropped. Not one of Minolta's better lenses to begin with, it now no longer really focuses on infinity. I've been trying to replace it for quite some time, but wouldn't spend more than $80 including tax and delivery so I never managed to secure one until a local seller posted one with only $9 in delivery fees. Being able to bid $65 for it meant that I won the bid.

I'm happily delighted with the very good condition of this thing, it's my new walking around lens. Yay!

rand()m quote

You have to choose between trusting to the natural stability of gold and the natural stability of the honesty and intelligence of the members of the Government. And, with due respect for these gentlemen, I advise you, as long as the Capitalist system lasts, to vote for gold.
