tennis in a Canadian winter

So much for the Winter that wasn't: today I saw some people playing tennis.
It's ludicrously warm, in some places 20ºC above normal, a thousand year event according to staff at The Weather Network. I cycled to work today, a week or two earlier than last year but again, 20ºC warmer than last year as well. It's supposed to hit 25ºC later in the week.
Can't help but feel that we're going to pay for this unusual blessing. In one regard, we already are—I've spotted (and swatted) some mosquitoes.
