socializing again - and planning to move

twenty-seven years and one million words
We met with some of our new friends and fellow parents-of-small-children in Leslieville/Riverside again today.
We've decided to move to the cheaper seats in that area.
In large part, we're attracted to the smaller, better-performing schools in the area that we think will better suit us "socio-economically". Finding a school in Toronto is a very different proposition from finding one in Japan.
I'm also looking forward to a more manageable commute. If I can take the King streetcar to Broadview and walk from there it'll save me forty-five minutes or so, most nights (as hard as it is to imagine, what is for me a 35 minute cycle trip often runs to 90 minutes by transit).
Now we just have to find a suitable place: not an easy task when every unit seems to vanish the day it's posted to the various websites. There seems to be a strong trend toward renting in Toronto, these days.
