adding browser type to CSS

I'm working on a demo system that needs an interface overhaul, and I've found a very helpful trick.

With one line of javascript (my personal nomination for Worst Mistake of Web 1.0) you can add the browser type to the mix of selectors for cascading style sheet (CSS) definitions of layout and style.
