flower girls on tall stalks
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
Tonight by happy chance I came across a trio of performance artists swaying on tall stalks in long flower-shaped dresses.
The stalks were about four meters long and made of flexible (metal? rubberised plastic?) that let them bend and sway and circle about in unison. The bell-shaped skirts and matching petal-like bits of fabric each wore around her were simple and effective in completing the image of three blue blossoms swaying in the breeze.
I only caught the final moments but it really brightened up what was otherwise another grueling day of audit documents. Just for fun I also somehow managed to contract a terrible system virus so bad that a ground-up rebuild of my PC burned off the last two hours of my working day. Monday's going to suck all 'round. But that's a weekend away.
