the dinosaur fanatic

twenty-seven years and one million words

Today we took Kenny to the Royal Ontario Musuem. He *loved* it.

First up, of course, were the dinosaurs. We'd given him his dinosaur book before we went, and he was pretty keyed up (though a bit anxious, having seen the Jurassic Park movies). I'm not sure that he knew what to expect. Live dinosaurs, perhaps?

After the dinosaurs, we looked at a display on existing and extinct animals. Then, happily, it was time see a real live animal exhibit. We say a lemur, a type of jumping African cat that eats birds, a kestrel, an owl, and an American bald eagle. Kenny was so delighted he even clapped his hands.

When Mari later asked him which he liked best, he said:

dinosaurs!
dinosaurs!

rand()m quote

For a long time I was very bitter that the people who controlled the means of anybody ever hearing my songs were never gonna play them. They only favored music that I specifically and particularly hated, and I wanted them dead. Suddenly, there was another avenue. I started hearing my stuff coming out of bars and then it started to happen little by little -- a movie song here or a TV ad there.
